We’ve already told you about free walking tours every other Saturday of Greenwich Village, but Walking Tours Manhattan has some even more up our alley…they include dessert! It’s an ingenuous idea: you meet up at a dessert spot and follow a “dessert expert” to explore a neighborhood’s bakery gems. While the tour itself is technically free (a $5 donation is encouraged to help fight hunger), you do need to purchase your own desserts. But still, it’s a fun way to spend a weekend morning. The next one is this Sunday, July 26th, and your journey through Union Square will begin at 11 am at Madeleine Patisserie (132 w. 23rd Street).
