While I can tell you where the best place is to get rice pudding in the city or where I like to get nachos, unfortunately I’m not educated enough to tell you what bars Andy Warhol frequently visited, or where a former president made an infamous speech. But, that’s why there are walking tours.
The Village Alliance offers walking tours of Greenwich Village every other Saturday, and is offering a tour tomorrow, June 27. The tour starts at 11:30 a.m. from the Northwest corner of Second Ave and St. Marks Place. Included on the tour is the spot where Abe Lincoln declared “right makes might” and artist Jackson Pollock’s former home.
