Years ago, when no one read this blog, we told you about Last Licks, an ice cream shop on the Upper East Side. Last Licks calls itself a sports bar for kids - it’s filled with sports memorabilia and televisions playing games, but has different flavors of ice cream to choose from - like mint chocolate chip to moosetracks. If you’ve been craving ice cream like we have, you must check this place out on Sunday.
On Sundays, Last Licks offers $2 sundaes. After dinner at Chinatown East (sans sake bombs) on Sunday, my friends and I walked over to Last Licks and ordered sundaes. For $2, we got our choice of ice cream, a sauce and a topping. I went with moosetracks ice cream, hot fudge and gummy bears. I know, the gummy bears don’t really go with that combo, but I was struggling to think of a topping at the counter. The serving was more than enough ice cream, so much that I couldn’t finish it, and could have easily been split with another person. Our entire crowd enjoyed our treats so much that you could hear my friend Eddie shouting, “This ice cream is so good” as he looked at the Yankees memorabilia.
If you are craving a sweet treat that’s easy on the wallet, head to Last Licks on Sunday up on 93rd and 2nd.

I love this store and have been going since they opened. Their ice cream is awesome, totally worth the splurge once in a while.
