Looking for something different to do this evening? How about hearing some live music and hanging out with some fun people (i.e. me)? Loyal readers Paul and Rob have a band called The Asterisk and they’ll be performing live at Uncle Mike’s in Tribeca this evening at 8:45 p.m. As always, 89th and Broke does not encourage you to pay full-price, so instead of paying $10 at the door, buy your tickets ahead of time for only $7 (with the typical ticket surcharge, $8.25). In addition to live music, $3 Rolling Rocks will also be on-hand. Like their tunes on MySpace but can’t make it this week? Check out their show next Saturday, May 1 at Arlene’s Grocery - the band goes on at 9 p.m.!
