Trying to figure out what to do this weekend? If you are looking for brunch on the cheap on Sunday, checkout the Sunburnt Cow, on Avenue C between 8th and 9th. In honor of its 6th birthday, the restaurant will be serving free food all day as well as a free spit roasted cow at 3 p.m. Still need another reason to go? For $20, you can consume all you can drink for 3 hours.
This was a FAIL, as there was no free food available, unless you purchased the open bar package. A call made to the manager before our arrival assured us that there would be a free buffet for all, regardless if you wanted to add the unlimited drinks option or not. NOT TRUE! I used to be a fan of this place, but the fact that they misrepresented a promotion- not good. We ended up at the brunch place next door and got brunch that included a cocktail, for under $10- sweet!
Oh I’ve been to that place next door! It’s got a Mexican flair to it, right?
Sorry this didn’t work out for you - that’s the problem with many “free food” events.
