We’ve written about some of the deals at Uno Chicago Grill in the past and they have a new one worthy of sharing on Sunday, February 6th and Monday, February 7th for Military members. Uno’s is sending Deep Dish Pizzas overseas for troops in Iraq and Afghanistan to enjoy during the Super Bowl game, but they’re also honoring current and former troops stateside with a free Deep Dish Pizza with the purchase of a pizza or entree of equal or greater value when they dine in the restaurant on the 6th and 7th! All they need to do is show their military or veteran’s ID. Enjoy!

One of my favorite promotions is back - SeamlessWeb has teamed up with different restaurants and cafes to offer Free Coffee Days in February. Each week, a different neighborhood is selected, and all you have to do is walk in and ask about the coffee promo and your cup is free. And don’t worry- you can make return trips, which is perfect if you work right next to a participating location.
The schedule is:
- February 1-6: Midtown East
- February 7-13: Midtown West
- February 14-20: Upper East/West Sides
- February 21-28: Lower Manhattan
In March, Free Coffee Days will come to Brooklyn and Queens (fingers are crossed for lots of Astoria spots).
If you still haven’t tried SeamlessWeb to order lunch or dinner, try it and make sure to use the code FREECOFFEE to save $5. And if you are a SeamlessWeb regular, take a photo with your free cup of coffee and make sure to tweet it to @SeamlessWeb for a chance to win $100 to use on delivery. And while you are on Twitter, follow @89thandbroke, too!

Caryn and I pretty much highlight deals that cover food, drinks, museums and Broadway. When it comes to spas, usually we’ll highlight spa week, but if you are looking for spa and salon deals on a regular basis, you may want to tryto bTreated, an invitation-only site – think Ruelala but for NYC spa services.
bTreated sends a daily listing of exclusive deals at top spas and salons around in NYC. The salons featured consist of high-end luxury businesses that typically cater to celebs. bTreated offers deals at places like Christopher Stanley and Two Do Salon and services discounted include 54% off a Brazilian blowout, 46% off highlights, 32% off a facial and more.
Unlike Groupon or other daily deal sites, with bTreated you book your appointment instantly and the appointment is usually for within a few hours. For example, as I’m writing this, I can log on and book a haircut and kerastase treatment for 2pm today - at 35% off. It’s like the site caters to that “a ha!” moment when you realize you need a haircut and don’t want to be stuck waiting for a few weeks. According to the company, some of the discounted services on the site have been marked down to as much as 80%.
If you like being pampered or simply want to check out the haircut deals available the next time you realize you have split ends, bTreated may be just the site for you.

Nothing to do Saturday night and looking to grab some drinks? Join my Cycle for Survival team for a charity open bar. Cycle for Survival is a spin event that raises funds for rare cancer research. Rare cancers include pancreatic, brain, cervical, ALL pediatric cancers, blood, bone and so many others. Since these cancers affect so few people annually, they do not warrant government-funded research and therefore leave patients with limited treatment options and little hope for future discoveries. It’s deceiving because while individually they affect so few, collectively rare cancers account for more than 50% of cancer cases.
This year, our charity open bar will be held at 3 Sheets Saloon in the West Village from 7-10 pm. What’s awesome is not only do we have our own private space, but with your $40 admission, 20 bucks directly goes to our team. To date, we’ve raised over $4,000!
Knowing my friends, I can promise dancing, lots of drinks and good times. Plus, who wouldn’t want to party with this guy in the photo?
