I’ve been dying to play mini-golf for a while. So when I found myself in the city on Sunday with no plans I suggested to my boyfriend that a mini-golf date was in order. Since we live in Queens, we decided to check out the mini-golf course in Flushing Meadows. It was right next to Citi Field [...] Yesterday, I spent the day at the pool.  As someone who has lived in New York for four years, I realize how weird it sounds to say that. You can swim in more than 54 free pools in NYC.  The pools are open from 11am – 7pm, and are closed daily from 3-4 pm [...] This week, several bars around Brooklyn, Queens and Manhattan are offering 50% off drinks as part of Yelp Drinks Week! Each bar will feature 3 drinks at 50% off.  Drinks range from certain beers to mojitos.  Here’s a list of participating [...] How fitting that the week I move to Queens, it is Queens Restaurant Week.  Thanks to The Skint, we’ve learned that this week and next week is Queens Restaurant Week.  Participating restaurants are offering three course meals for just $25 at either lunch, dinner or for both!
