One of our favorite promotions, Pera Mediterranean‘s May Meze Month, is back with its deliciously awesome deal: three mezes (appetizers) for $9. Pair that with a glass of wine, or a bottle for $30, and you have a lovely compilation of small bites that are a steal (considering most mezes alone are $7-10). This [...]

If you are in Astoria and looking for a date spot, look no further than DiWine. Â I went to DiWine last Monday, and this wine bar was pretty quiet (I’ve heard it gets busier especially towards the weekend). Â The cool thing about it being kind of empty was that [...]

Last year's meze that we enjoyed
Last year, Caryn and I were invited to try out Pera, and we absolutely loved it. Â I’m happy to report that the restaurant’s meze deal is back. Â This May, you can enjoy 3 mezes (think 3 appetizers) for $9. Â Some of our favorites last year included [...]

To continue Vero’s wine tasting offerings, the midtown location only (53rd and 2nd) is hosting Wine on Wednesdays – a wine sampling every Wednesday evening through April. For $35 you’ll get to try four to six wines and light hors d’oeurves (e.g., cheese platter, paninis, bruschetta) from 5-7 pm (RSVPs are recommended).

If you’re like me, you’re a fan of wine but not quite educated on the topic yet. That’s why I love wine tastings and courses. This Saturday (if you’re not at Hoboken’s St. Patrick’s Day) you can take a Wines of Argentina and Chile course at Vero Midtown or Uptown for $65, with [...]

As we told you about a few weeks ago, Ayza Wine & Chocolate Bar is having a Facebook promotion – become a friend of the restaurant on Facebook and you can get a glass of wine or sangria for free. Free booze and food will always draw me in, so I friended them, as [...]

Per usual, I was on Facebook for a bit today and saw a deal pop up on the sidebar. These can sometimes be annoying, but in this case I was intrigued. It was a message about Ayza Wine & Chocolate Bar offering one free glass of wine or sangria if you become a fan [...]

Good news, kids. Last week we reviewed Bar Blanc Bistro‘s “limited-time only” deal: 50% off cocktails, beer and wine by the glass or carafe, as well as the bar food menu. Lucky for you (and for me, so I can return), Dealfeed has just reported that the deal is now extended indefinitely! Go check [...]

My friend (and ex-coworker) and I attempted to try out the new ‘inoteca spot in Gramercy a few weeks ago, but the 1+ hour wait at 7:30 on a Wednesday night deterred us. Instead we ended up at Cavatappo a few blocks north. Andrea had been to its uptown location before and recommended it, [...]

Being the deal-hunting lady that I am, I heard about Vero Restaurant & Wine Bar‘s Monday night special through trusty sites like Yelp.com and Eats.com. This is truly a rare find in NYC – on Monday nights you get a free panini with every glass of [...]
