Want to see an off-Broadway show for cheap? Well 20at20 is back, starting Tuesday, January 22 and going through February 10. How does it work? Arrive at the theater 20 minutes before show time at these select shows, and you’ll have the option to purchase tickets for $20. You may recall that I tried this promotion a few [...] Created in response to the devastating effect that September 11th had on sales at Broadway shows and at businesses in and around the Times Square theatre district, Season of Savings is a bi-annual event where you can purchase tickets to Broadway and off-Broadway shows, as well as get discounted tickets to other Times Square [...] ONCE, which is in previews on Broadway, has a fabulous deal going on for next Wednesday, March 21′s performance at 8pm.  ONCE  tells the story of an Irish musician and a Czech immigrant drawn together by their shared love of music.  If you are under 30 like me, you can score $31.50 tickets to this musical to the March [...] It’s Restaurant Week time of year, which means that 20at20 is back through February 6.  Arrive at the theater 20 minutes before showtime at these participating theaters, and you’ll get $20 tickets to an off-Broadway show.  We tried this promotion a few years back (and we’ve detailed the worst audience member we’ve ever encountered in this review) and [...] Since living in New York, I’ve always come across the 20at20 Off Broadway deal and wondered if it was really true. Well, I tried the deal twice this week. The basic premise is that you show up in-person to the theatre’s box office 20 minutes before the show and if there are tickets available, [...] |
