Yesterday my buddy at The Skint and I were wondering what celebrations were happening around the city for Australia Day. While we could find some open bars and beer specials, frankly, none were that good ($4 beers is nothing to me as far as a deal, unless accompanied by free food). Â And then we found this gem. Â The new Pie Face on 53rd and Broadway, which specializes in sweet and savory pies, will give away free meat pies all day today in until midnight in honor of Australia Day. Â We expect a line, but if you don’t mind waiting, you can definitely get a good freebie!
