Are you shopping online this holiday season? If you are – especially today on Cyber Monday – make sure to use a site like Ebates.  With Ebates, you earn a percentage of what you spend online back as a check. So for example, when you want to make a purchase at say a store like Ulta, you log on to Ebates first, and then select your store – so in this case, you’d click on Ulta. Stores vary in how much of a percentage you get back and given that it is the holidays, the percentages are a little bit higher. For example, Ulta is usually 3%, but now it’s 5%.
So if you spend $100 at Ulta this holiday season and click on the site through Ebates, you’ll get $5 in your Ebates account.  I opt to get paid via check, and every quarter I get a check with all my savings from Ebates mailed to my house. You can also get paid through Paypal or donate your money to a charity instead. In addition to getting cash back, Ebates also has a list of promotions and coupon codes on their Web site – so no having to bounce around different sites to find a promo code for free shipping.
