GrubHub, an online order/delivery site akin to Seamless, is hosting a Digital Food Festival starting today and going through October 14.  To kick off the event, they’ve teamed up with Van Leeuwen‘s to offer 1 cent ice cream! You can grab your 1 cent ice cream today from noon-10 pm (or until the 2,000 cones run out!) at their new brick and mortar store (48 1/2 E. 7th Street) or at their truck which will be located at Washington and Little West 12th Streets. Van Leeuwen will also be debuting their new flavor, “Grub Hub,” roasted banana ice cream with chopped peanuts.
There’s a bit of confusion as to if you need to “order” Â your ice cream ahead of time, so we suggest that you sign up for the promotion online or on the app. Everyone who signs up will get a confirmation email so you can show that on any type of smart phone, or bring in a printed copy.
They also have mobile promotion going on – download their app for an iPhone or Android (no luck for us BB users) and get $10 off your first mobile order now through November 1.
