If you’re looking for something new to do in the city, consider the Sony Wonder Technology Lab, a four-story interactive technology and entertainment experience with cool exhibits that “bring technology and creativity together to make learning experiential, entertaining and fun.”
Sounds interesting to me, especially since admission is free! However, reservations are highly recommended and can be made Tuesday through Friday between 9 am – 2 pm by calling (212) 833-8100. You can get day-of tickets, which are handed out Tuesday through Saturday at 10 am and Sunday at noon, but it’s suggested that you arrive early since there are only a limited number of tickets available.
They also have free afternoon movie screenings on Saturdays at 2 pm and up next is Just Go With It with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler. Big Daddy and Another Year will follow on the 18th and 25th, respectively. I hope they continue the trend in July and August! So go ahead and make your reservations to go to a free museum and catch a free movie on the weekend!
