Party for a Cause this Thursday

Looking for a place to party on Thursday?  Check out the event, All Jacked Up 2009 at Marquee, the infamous night club.  Thrown by my friend Marissa, the event is a charity fundraiser for histiocytosis, a rare blood disease.  This disease is sadly affecting her co-worker’s son, Jack, who is almost 2 years old.  While this event may not be free, considering the venue, it can be considered a steal.

Tickets are $60 in advance, $75 at the door, with all proceeds benefiting the Histiocytosis Association of America.  From 7-10 p.m., enjoy an open bar (typically at Marquee drinks are around $12) as well as cupcakes, chips, t-shirts and DJ Stir-it-up.  If you are one of the first 250 guests, you’ll also receive a $50 gift certificate to the Completely Bare Spa – so it’s like almost paying for the price of your admission.  Just by entering the building, you’ll have a chance to win an 8GB iPod.

The prizes don’t stop there.  Thursday’s event will also offer raffle tickets throughout the night- 1/$5 or 5/$20 for your chance to win prizes like tickets to SNL, Jimmy Fallon, Colbert/Stewart tickets, Mets/Yankees prizes, PGA/Giants packages, beauty baskets and other goodies.  There will also be a silent auction for your chance to bid on getaways to Tuscon, Atlantic City and Vegas and more!
